Code of Conduct

At DE/SEMBLE Festival, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and inspiring environment. Social safety, equity, and a welcoming atmosphere are integral to the creative exchange of music and art at the heart of our festival. While we celebrate artistic freedom and collaboration, we maintain clear boundaries to ensure respect and safety for everyone.

We ask all participants – including attendees, artists, crew members, volunteers, photographers, security, and venue staff – to uphold our Code of Conduct. Together, we can create a safe and inclusive festival experience for all.

Key Principles for DE/SEMBLE Festival:

Zero Tolerance for Discrimination
We do not accept any form of discrimination, including sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism, ageism, or ableism.

Freedom of Expression
We strive to create a harassment-free environment where everyone can express themselves safely and authentically.

No Physical Abuse or Intimidation
Violence, threats, or intimidation of any kind will result in immediate removal from the festival without refund.

Respectful Communication
Hurtful language or actions are strictly prohibited and will result in appropriate consequences.

No Sexual Harassment
Incidents of sexual harassment or intimidation will be addressed immediately, with support provided to those affected.

Our Shared Responsibility

We all play a part in maintaining a respectful and safe environment at DE/SEMBLE Festival. If you experience or witness harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior, please approach a member of our team.

  • On-Site Support: Festival staff are available to assist and can direct you to Safer Space contacts or other resources.
  • Reporting Options: You can report incidents in person or anonymously. For issues that arise after the festival, please email us at info@de-semble.at. All reports will be handled confidentially and addressed promptly.

Embracing the Transformative Power of Music

Music has the ability to inspire, connect, and heal. Let’s work together to create an environment where everyone feels free to be themselves. Be kind, stay curious, and enjoy every moment of the festival.

House Rules

These guidelines apply to all festival locations and participants. Violations may result in denied entry or removal from the event. The house rules of the venue have to be respected.

  • Sound Levels: Some performances may be very loud. Earplugs are recommended, and it is your responsibility to protect your hearing.
  • Photography and Filming: The use of professional photo, video, or audio equipment is prohibited unless authorized by the festival team with proper accreditation.
  • Privacy Notice: Official photographers and videographers may be present and photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes of the event.
